Meet the Taskforce!

Anna (she/her), aka Scotty, is now in her second consecutive year as the Parliamentary Training Director, having previously held the roles of Parliamentary Training Leader and Head of House. Before that she was a participant, but if she were to write her own bill in the future, she says it would be on ending horse racing in Victoria. Anna loves to hear the ideas, speeches and debates from the participants on camp. Part of the program since 2023, outside of it Anna likes camping, the beach, and tending to her veggie garden. In the 2026 program, Anna is looking forward to further developing her leadership skills in leading her portfolio through another year to be proud of!

Lennon is back in the Training portfolio for a second year, now in a new role. Before that, he was a participant in 2022 and 2023. If he were to write a Bill again, he would do it on increasing rural public transport connections. Currently studying for a double degree in education and mathematics, he likes to ride his bike and play video games in his free time. Growing up in rural Victoria, Lennon loves the program for the sense of belonging and community he had found in his time in the program (and now Taskforce), now hoping to help provide that experience for others yet again. In 2026, he is looking forward to seeing the debates in Parliament House and understanding more about parliamentary processes in his new role.

Marni is back for another program within the Training portfolio, having been part of Taskforce in 2025. Previously a participant in 2020, Marni loves going and seeing everyone in person on camp and thinks of it as a great space for people to try new things and learn more about their personal and professional selves. If she were to write her own Bill again, she would do it on increasing the minimum standards for rental properties in Victoria. Marni is very creative, loving to sew, art, fashion, and theatre. Now in a new role for the 2026 Youth Parliament program, she is looking forward to learning more about how to be a supportive leader.

2026 will be Chantelle’s first year as a member of Taskforce, having previously completed the program twice. In her time as a participant, she enjoyed meeting new people and how she was able to grow both in herself and her interests. If she were to write a Bill again, it would be on education! Chantelle is a fan of anything outside, including hiking, camping, and swimming. In 2026, she is looking forward to meeting and learning from other passionate young leaders and reading all of the Bills.

Previously a participant in multiple programs, this one will be Gabe (or Falcon)’s first as a Taskforce member. He will also be starting a degree in sustainability and the environment! He has said that Youth Parliament has helped him discover what kind of person he wants to be and ignite a wish to impact society for the better. This year, Gabe is looking forward to meeting new people and helping them find confidence in their public speaking. He also wants to learn more about building team cultures in the program that are inclusive of everyone and highlights each person’s individual contribution. In his free time, Gabe listens to and plays music, watches the footy and reads about world events.

Yuwal (or Yuwie) was a participant in 2023 and 2025, now looking to give back as a Taskforce member. He believes his previous time in the program as irreplacable in his advocacy journey and admires how it is able to enable young people’s voices to be heard whilst giving them an opportunity to grow. If Yuwal were to write another Bill, he would do it on youth homelessness. Looking to 2026, he is looking forward to the program’s 40th anniversary, and learning how to be a good mentor to others! In his spare time, Yuwal likes to play video games, go to the gym and watching webtoons.

Anna Judge (or Judgy) is reprising her role is Logistics Director, having held it in the 2025 program. She began her journey with the Y in 2022 on Youth Camps, and now in Youth Parliament, she loves to see young people fighting for the change and is looking forward to seeing it once again, believing it as a beacon of hope for the future. If she were to write a Youth Parliament Bill as a participant, Anna would write on increasing access to mental health services, and sessions to be included in mental health care plans. In 2026, Judgy is hoping to learn more about what brings young people to the program. In her free time, Anna adores cooking and would do it endlessly on a day off.

Lachy is returning for another program in Logistics, having also previously been a participant in 2022. Working within the mental health field, he is passionate about building good communities and empowering others to expand their world views, believing this program to be a valuable opportunity that achieves this. If he were to write another Bill, it would be focused on improving funding for community services, to encourage more social and emotional wellbeing in Victoria. In 2026, Lachy is looking to learn more about leadership from others and is excited to see debates in Parliament House! In his spare time he likes to read, bake, and take photos of plants and animals!

Alex is completely new to the program, coming to Youth Parliament with experience volunteering in a number of community and nonprofit organisations. Currently, he’s studying Law and Arts at university, but also likes to run and cook new things! If he were to write his own Bill, he would do it on increasing public transport concession access to students undertaking tertiary education. Alex believes that Youth Parliament validates and transforms young people’s power and agency and hopes to learn more about Victoria’s parliamentary and legislative processes in his first year as a Taskforce member.

Amelia has volunteered with the Y since 2019, beginning with Youth Camps, and then two years on the Youth Parliament in the Wreck team, now the Director of the portfolio in her third year! Amelia is working towards becoming a youth worker, and has a passion for working with young people and watching them come out of their shells, particularly for Wrecking. If she was a participant, she’d write a Bill on free public transport for university students, or youth crime. She is keen to grow as a leader in working with her team, and is excited to work with new volunteers and for the 40th year. In her free time, Amelia loves to camp and play football at her local club.

2026 will be Kenzie’s first year on the program as Taskforce member, having previously been a participant in 2025. For her, Youth Parliament is about young people’s ideas being heard as well as discovering new things about themselves as they grow. She is a massive fan of Taylor Swift and loves to read and game, particularly with her friends. If she were to write another Bill, it would be about increasing accessibility for people with disabilities. Kenzie is now looking forward to developing her leadership skills in her very first year in Taskforce.

Declan has been through the program twice in 2024 and 2025 as a participant and is now a Taskforce member for 2026. He credits some of his personal impact and development to Youth Parliament, believing it to be an important way for young people to advocate for their ideas and perspectives, but also to make new friends. If Declan were to write another Bill, it would be on establishing a formal youth advisory body to the Victorian Parliament. In his free time, Declan likes hanging out with his friends and playing video games. In 2026, he is looking forward to meeting the young leaders of today and empowering them through his Taskforce role.

Lucy (they/she), aka Lu or Goosey, is the Media and Communications Director, their first year in the role after two years in the Training portfolio as a Parliamentary Training Leader and Head of House - they also were a participant in 2019! If they had the chance to write a Bill for the program, Lucy has many passions, from eliminating the tax incentives for owning investment homes to lowering the nexus for Enforcement Review’s test under the Fines Reform Act. Outside Parli, Lu likes spending time with friends and being their creative self. In their new role as a part of the Executive team, they hope to improve their facilitation engagement & management skills in leading the Media and Communications portfolio. This program, Lucy is pumped to celebrate the program’s 40th year and see the growth in the participants’ confidence and skills.

Quinney, previously a participant in 2024, will be part of Taskforce for the first time. Passionate about working with local councils and volunteering with community groups, he sees the program for participants as an opportunity to take a seat at the table and make sure their voices are heard and recognised. If he were to write a Bill again, it would be implementing a VCE Volunteer Incentive Program. Quinney’s goal in 2026 is to learn more about facilitating youth programs and the issues that young people face statewide. On camp, he’s looking forward to meeting all the participants and supporting them, as well as the food!

Aimee participated in the program as part of the Mildura team in 2021 and 2022, and was also on Taskforce in 2023 as a Head of House. Now back in a new role, she is excited to watch all the hard work of the young people pay off in the debates in the week at Parliament House and connect them with industry professionals and politicians along the way to amplify their voices as much as possible. Aimee is studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne, and if she were to write a Bill again, it would focused around government funding for schools to increase resources and fees in the public and tertiary sectors. Aimee believes that Youth Parliament is a powerful way for all young people to have their say, meet new friends and even make connections in politics and other industries that they are interested in. In her spare time, Aimee loves to read and play music and video games.

Natalie was previously a participant in 2024 and 2025, as a team member and Youth Press Gallerian respectively, with 2026 being her first year on Taskforce! Within the program, she particularly enjoys meeting and connecting with new people on camp but also debating and camp activities, an opportunity she believes to be rare in everyday life. If she were to write a Bill again also, it would be focused around school funding reform. Now hoping to learn more about facilitating and organising on camp, Natalie is excited to work with the young journalists on the Youth Press Gallery and support them through the the program.

Lauri was a part of the Youth Press Gallery in 2023, now involved as a volunteer on Taskforce in the Y! Currently studying a Bachelor of Youth Work, they also work in mental health, community services and research that supports young people. Concerning this program, Lauri believes it is an important opportunity for youth voice to become youth action, bringing hope for the future and connections for those involved. In 2026, Lauri is excited to read Youth Press Gallery articles and learn from both participants and Taskforce. If they were to write their own Bill, it would be focused around prioritising housing and launching initiatives to do so. In Lauri’s free time, they like listening to music, and spending time with friends and their pet pugs.

2026 will be Charlotte’s first year on the program and in Taskforce! As a result, she is really looking forward to seeing how it works in action, believing it to be an opportunity to teach and to learn from a variety of people from across Victoria. Currently studying art history and curating, Charlotte is also interested in photography and writing, both fiction and non-fiction. If she were to write her own Bill, it would be on housing. Outside of Youth Parliament, Charlotte likes to do all things creative, including artistic photography and fibre arts. This year, she is excited to see some really awesome work from the YPGers, and do what she can to help them get there!
