YMCA Peninsula Youth Services would not be able to do the work we do without the support of our wonderful local partners.
If you are interested in working with us to engage with young people in the community, please get in touch by filling out the form on this page.
The Board of our local branches of the Bendigo Bank - Rye, Dromana & Rosebud - were drivers in encouraging the YMCA to operate a youth service in our region and have been significant financial contributors to the service, investing $1 million over the last 10 years.
Jimmy’s Foundation was set up to honour the life of James Henry Crawford. A budding young architect, James died in April 2014 in tragic circumstances at the tender age of 33. Known as Jimmy by many of his close friends, and as Uncle Jimmy by his nephew and niece, it became the intention of his mother and his sister to find something of which James would approve, to carry his name.
Jimmy's mother, Sarah Darling, also volunteered for YMCA Peninsula Youth Services. At that time, we did not had a dedicated space within which to work, and so with her help, Jimmy's Wellbeing Sanctuary was built to help us continue our work and reach more young people in the community.
