YMCA Victoria’s Youth Press Gallery is a program for young people aged between 16-25 currently studying, or who have an interest in, political journalism, photography, or filming to gain valuable experience serving as the Press Gallery for the YMCA Victoria Youth Parliament program. About me: Hachins D’Souza is a young journalist currently based in Melbourne. Her professional experience includes working in the public and not-for-profit sector. She also regularly contributes on various socio-political events for a number of online publications such as UN Youth Australia.

She is a freelance writer for publications and is passionate about youth advocacy, believing that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow, as the platitude goes — but also the active leaders of today.
