Are you a young artist living, studying or working in Bass Coast Shire? Get involved in our youth art exhibition, IGNITE!
We’re looking for young creatives aged 12 to 25 to enter their original artwork for our youth art exhibition, which will be held from 20 September to 25 September at Berninneit Exhibition Space in Cowes, Phillip Island, Millowl.
Artworks in all mediums are accepted and entry is completely free! Entrants may submit one piece of artwork (if you’d like to submit more, please speak to staff at the YES Youth Hub).
We’ll also be delivering information sessions in August, both in person at the YES Youth Hub and online. We’ll provide support to apply as well as provision of some art materials.
Categories and prizes
The IGNITE! Youth Arts Fest has three age categories.12 to 15 years
- 16 to 19 years
- 20 to 25 years
A People’s Choice Prize for each age category will be awarded at the end of the exhibition.

Exhibition timeline
- 5 August: Entries open.
- 6 September: Entries close.
- 6 - 10 September: Successful applicants contacted.
- 10 - 16 September: Artwork must be delivered to drop off locations (artists will be informed of the locations).
- 20 September: Opening event at 5:00pm.
- 20 - 25 September: Exhibition open at Berninneit Exhibition Space.
- 25 September: People’s Choice Prize winners announced.
- 2 - 16 October: Collection of artworks from collection points.
